Nitric Acid Explosion Accident in Seoul National University Laboratory... One Student Transported to Hospital
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] At around 10:30 a.m. on the 26th, an explosion of nitric acid occurred in a laboratory at the Chemical Process New Technology Research Institute of Seoul National University.
According to the fire authorities and Seoul National University, one student sustained burns on the face and other areas and was transported to a hospital.
Although other students were present inside the laboratory at the time of the accident, no additional casualties have been reported.

Seoul National University has closed the laboratory where the accident occurred and is currently conducting decontamination work.
