View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Sunmi Park] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 26th that it is currently holding an integrated 'Demo Day' for the 6th Mapo, 5th Guro, and 4th Busan cohorts of the startup incubation platform ‘IBK Changgong’ at the IBK Finance Center over two days, from the 25th to the 26th.
Demo Day is the final stage of the IBK Changgong startup incubation program, where companies introduce their products and business models to investors and startup-related organizations to attract investment. Thirty companies from the IBK Changgong incubation program are participating, and eighteen companies have set up booths to promote their businesses.
In particular, this Demo Day includes a networking event inviting members of the Korea Federation of Medium-sized Enterprises and venture capitalists (VCs) to interact with the Changgong companies. An IBK Industrial Bank official stated, “This is the first integrated Demo Day collaboratively held by the three IBK Changgong centers in Mapo, Guro, and Busan,” adding, “As it is the largest scale ever, we hope all participating companies achieve great results.”
President Yoon Jong-won delivered a congratulatory speech, saying, “Since last year, IBK has set a supply target of 1.5 trillion KRW over three years as a key player in venture capital and has supported 530 billion KRW so far,” and added, “IBK will continue to discover companies that the world has not yet recognized and actively support startups challenging the world with new ideas and technologies.”

IBK Changgong is a startup incubation platform that provides investment and loans, consulting, office space, and other support to innovative startups. It operates in three locations: Mapo, Guro, and Busan. Since December 2017, it has provided financial services such as investment and loans worth 258 billion KRW and non-financial services including mentoring, consulting, and IR a total of 4,155 times to 307 companies. Additionally, in the second half of the year, IBK plans to open ‘IBK Changgong Daejeon’ in the Daedeok Research and Development Special Zone to support the growth of tech and K-New Deal related companies.
