Simultaneous Online and Offline Event on "Fintech and Sustainable Financial Innovation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] The "3rd Korea Fintech Week 2021" will be held from the 26th to the 28th for three days, focusing on fintech and sustainable financial innovation.
According to the Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service on the 25th, this expo will be held both online and offline simultaneously. The offline event will share various fintech trends from different countries and provide fintech experiences and investment opportunities in a significantly expanded and revamped format compared to the past.
At the opening ceremony, Eun Sung-soo, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, will introduce the government's fintech policies to date and deliver a welcoming speech outlining future policy directions. This will be followed by congratulatory remarks and keynote speeches from key domestic and international figures such as Yoon Kwan-seok, Chairman of the Political Affairs Committee, and the Canadian Ambassador to Korea. Additionally, a briefing on digital financial innovation policies will be held, and domestic leading fintech companies will showcase their businesses and innovative financial services through exhibition booths, along with IR events aimed at attracting investment for outstanding companies.
The online event will provide a "venue for investment, experience, and recruitment." One-on-one online meetings between fintech companies, investors (VCs), and financial institutions, business matching through an online exhibition hall, and fintech investment briefings are scheduled. Furthermore, various programs such as exhibition halls and recruitment centers have been prepared to allow the general public, students, and prospective job seekers to experience fintech and gain employment opportunities.
Coinciding with the 2021 Seoul P4G Summit held on the 30th and 31st, a special P4G Green Finance exhibition will be conducted, introducing domestic and international trends related to green finance and ESG.
