[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 25th that it has reorganized the Tech Desk operated within the KB Insight branch, which is staffed exclusively by IT professionals, to focus on new technology verification and collaboration functions.
The Tech Desk is a new technology reception window operated to enable startups and tech companies with various ideas to quickly connect and communicate with the bank's practitioners. It is operated at the KB Insight branch, where startups and tech companies can immediately propose business ideas and technology collaboration at the counter. Through this reorganization, the introduction and verification of new technologies will be strengthened, and it will be operated mainly as a partnership and collaboration window.
From the previous method where KB Kookmin Bank practitioners reviewed proposals in writing and prepared result reports, the process has been improved to activate two-way communication through technical meetings and to include the introduction and verification of the latest new technologies. Through video conferences, not only the proposing companies but also KB Insight staff, relevant department practitioners, and the Technology Innovation Platform Department representatives participate to strengthen cooperation among practical departments.
Meanwhile, KB Kookmin Bank plans to hold a Tech Forum, an online seminar hosted by the Tech Group with participation from fintech and banking practitioners. The forum will include companies registered at the Tech Desk and those possessing innovative technologies to discover insights related to future financial new technologies.
