KB Insurance has been providing nursing services by opening the Gangdong Care Center (day and night care facility) in 2017 and Wirye Village (elderly nursing and day and night care facility) in 2019. The first urban-type nursing facility, Wirye Village, has about 1,300 people on the waiting list just one year after opening, thanks to its excellent facilities and high-quality services.
Considering the characteristics of being adjacent to a rural village mainly composed of low-rise buildings, Seocho Village was built as a three-story above-ground building. The basement was constructed up to two floors, placing common areas that are relatively less used by residents underground. From the design stage, the opinions of residents and staff of Wirye Village were reflected, arranging courtyards and sunken areas so that natural lighting and ventilation are possible from anywhere.
A KB Golden Life Care official explained, "One of the most important considerations in constructing Seocho Village was to fully reflect the location characteristics," adding, "In particular, we pursued architecture that harmonizes with the surrounding nature, including Umyeonsan Mountain, and the buildings."
Seocho Village, with a capacity of 80 people, applies the 'Unit Care' management system, where groups of 12 to 20 elderly residents form independent living groups centered around spacious living rooms. Each bedroom is mainly composed of single and double rooms, and dedicated staff are assigned to each unit to provide management services.
The first admissions to Seocho Village will begin on the 26th. Since pre-registration started in December last year, about 300 customers have applied for admission, and about 80 customers with earlier registration numbers visited the facility last week to complete pre-admission inspections.

A KB Golden Life Care official stated, "We will do our best to provide a high level of nursing services so that customers living in Seocho Village can feel as comfortable as in their own homes," and added, "We also express our gratitude to the local residents who trusted KB and accepted us as part of the community, and we will make Seocho Village a place that local residents can be proud of."
