Dongkuk Steel Opens Steel Online Sales Platform 'SteelShop.com'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoonju Hwang] Dongkuk Steel has launched its steel product online sales platform, 'SteelShop.com,' on the 24th.
Dongkuk Steel established 'SteelShop.com' to respond to the prolonged changes in the contactless market caused by COVID-19. The company aims to break away from the traditional offline sales methods in the steel industry, strengthen non-face-to-face sales capabilities, and secure competitiveness in the steel e-commerce business.
In this first phase launch, the preemptively introduced 'thick plate custom orders' system is the first in Korea to produce and ship steel plates of requested grades and sizes within the shortest delivery time (within 7 days). Additionally, the 'cutting processed products' system provides immediate cutting according to the customer's requested specifications and dimensions. The 'planned production products' system shows customers products that have already been produced for urgent orders and offers fast delivery service, enabling continuous online purchasing.
Moreover, a paid specialized service called 'Test Request Service' is offered. When various tests are requested through 'SteelShop.com,' tensile tests, impact tests, bending tests, spectroscopic analysis tests, and more are conducted using testing equipment in the internationally accredited testing laboratory within the Dangjin plant. Test reports can be downloaded directly from 'SteelShop.com.'
To commemorate the opening of 'SteelShop.com,' Dongkuk Steel is holding an event until June 30th, offering tablet PCs to new members and purchasing customers. Detailed information can be found on the 'SteelShop.com' website.
