Delivery App Dining Discount Starts
10,000 Won Discount After 4 Payments Over 20,000 Won
Is there anyone these days without at least one credit card? In modern society, anyone can have a card if they want. Credit cards have brought unparalleled convenience to daily life. Now, wherever you go, you can easily see people paying with credit cards or smartphones. As demand has increased, cards with various benefits are being released almost daily. In response, Asia Economy delivers various stories related to cards, which are inseparable from our consumer life, through the weekly 'Cards in Daily Life' corner, including introductions to new cards, industry behind-the-scenes, and guides for card beginners.
From 10 a.m. on the 24th, the government's contactless dining discount support using delivery applications (apps) will be implemented. After applying through card companies, if you pay with a card four times for 20,000 won or more on delivery apps, you will receive a 10,000 won refund next month. Considering the COVID-19 quarantine situation, this will continue until the 26 billion won budget is exhausted.
Where and How to Get the 10,000 Won Discount
To receive the 10,000 won discount, you must apply individually through each card company. The application can be made via each card company's customer center, website, or app. The participating card companies are nine in total: KB Kookmin, NH Nonghyup, Lotte, BC, Woori, Samsung, Shinhan, Hana, and Hyundai Card.
After applying through the card company, if you pay with a card four times for 20,000 won or more on participating delivery apps, the card company will refund 10,000 won next month in the form of cashback or billing discount.
There are a total of 14 delivery apps participating in this event. Six apps developed by the public sector include Baedal Teukgeup, Ddingdong, Baedal-ui Myeongsu, Ildansikyeo, Eodigo (go), and Baedal Olgeoje; two apps developed jointly by public and private sectors are Wemakeprice O and Meokkebi; and six private apps are Baedal Minjok, Yogiyo, Coupang Eats, PAYCO, Dillyus, and KakaoTalk Order.
Participation Limit: 2 Times per Day per Card Company, On-site Payments Not Counted
There is no day-of-week restriction, but participation is limited to twice per day per card company. Payments via delivery app easy payment are recognized as valid only if linked to the applied card. Previous participation and accumulated performance from the event that ended on February 21 are still recognized.
However, due to limitations in the performance verification system, only takeout and delivery orders and payments made through delivery apps are recognized as valid. Ordering and paying via delivery app followed by visiting the store for takeout is recognized, but ordering via delivery app with face-to-face payment to the delivery person or visiting the store for on-site payment and takeout is not recognized as valid, so caution is required.
