Ministry of SMEs and Startups Selected for 'Small Business Complex Support Center Construction Public Contest' Project
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] An innovation base for small manufacturers that provides integrated support for smart manufacturing equipment, product development, exhibition and sales, and online marketing will be established in Gimpo City, Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 23rd that "Gimpo City was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'Small Manufacturer Complex Support Center Construction Project' and secured 2.5 billion KRW in national funding."
The concentrated district of Tongjin-eup, Daegot-myeon, and Wolgot-myeon in Gimpo City is home to 728 small manufacturers in the machinery and equipment industry.
In Tongjin-eup (within the former Pantech Industrial Complex), a total of 2.5 billion KRW in national funds, 750 million KRW in provincial funds, and 1.75 billion KRW in city funds will be invested to establish a joint design workshop, exhibition and sales room, education seminar room, experience space, and startup support office.
