KITA Holds Awards and Completion Ceremony for 'University Student Overseas Marketing Content Crew'
[Asia Economy reporter Woo Suyeon] The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 21st that the official activities of the 'University Student Overseas Marketing Content Crew', which has supported the production of marketing content for Korean small and medium-sized enterprises, have concluded.
The association held an online completion ceremony and an awards ceremony for outstanding content production teams on the 20th. The University Student Overseas Marketing Content Crew was launched after the association signed an 'Industry-Academia Cooperation Agreement for Overseas Marketing Content Production for SMEs' with content-related departments at Konkuk University, Inha University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in January. The aim was to identify and nurture outstanding talent in content creation at an early stage and to support SME marketing efforts.
As content crew members, 31 students in 11 teams selected from the three universities received three months of training from February, including analysis of product core values and competitiveness, consumer analysis, content planning, and mentoring from experts. Through this, they strengthened their practical skills and produced 33 promotional videos for domestic SME products targeting overseas markets.

The AllLove team created relatable content by depicting Korean language expressions from Darakwon's Korean grammar textbooks through situational skits. They also humorously portrayed the process of a game character mastering Korean by progressing through beginner, intermediate, and advanced textbooks.
The excellence award was given to the 'Develop-er' team, consisting of Kim Yunjin, Park Yeeun, and Choi Mina from Inha University. The Develop-er team created content featuring MPAC Plus's shoe deodorizer. Their professional filming techniques, editing, and the selection of background music that enhanced the visual appeal of the video provided a fresh perspective on everyday household products, while also effectively highlighting the product's effectiveness, earning high praise.

The association plans to analyze the achievements and areas for improvement of this content crew program and consider expanding industry-academia cooperation, such as launching a second cohort of the content crew. Hyuncheol Kim, Head of the Global Marketing Division at the Korea International Trade Association, said, "Since the main consumers of online content are the MZ generation, I hope that marketing videos infused with the youthful perspective of university students will contribute to expanding our companies' online exports."
