US Actress Selma Hayek "Quarantined for 7 Weeks After Contracting COVID-19"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Hollywood actress Salma Hayek revealed that she self-quarantined for seven weeks after contracting COVID-19.
According to CNN on the 20th (local time), Hayek recently said in an interview with the U.S. entertainment media Variety, "I was infected during the early spread of COVID-19 last year."
She said, "At the time, my doctor urged me to go to the hospital because the situation was serious, but I refused (hospitalization), saying 'I'd rather die at home.'"
Instead of being hospitalized, Hayek isolated alone at home for seven weeks. She said, "My condition was so severe that I even used an oxygen respirator at home," and added, "I returned to work after full recovery, but my stamina is not what it used to be."
