Gimhae City Conducts Intensive Temple Inspections Ahead of Buddha's Birthday
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam, conducted a focused inspection of quarantine measures at major temples in the area ahead of Buddha's Birthday (the 19th).
The city designated dedicated public officials for each temple to check compliance with religious facility quarantine rules on the 19th (observing 30% capacity for worshippers, prohibiting meals, maintaining at least 1 meter distance).
Prior to this inspection, advance measures were taken including sending guidance letters to all temples, providing 080 safety call information, and distributing quarantine rule posters.
On the 7th, a meeting was held with executives of the Gaya Buddhist Culture Center to request strict adherence to quarantine rules during the Dharma assembly.
