According to the city, Seorakgyo Bridge (length 105m, width 10.5m) was completed in 1978 and is an aging bridge over 40 years old. The detailed safety inspection revealed serious defects such as scour at the pier foundations, erosion under the piers, and separation between the foundations and pier walls.
The city plans to prepare measures for either reconstruction or maintenance and repair of the bridge based on the results of a detailed safety diagnosis to be conducted in June.
