Songpa-gu and EBS Join Hands to Revitalize Lifelong Learning in Songpa-gu
Agreement Signed on the 13th to Promote Lifelong Learning... Collaboration on Content Creation Based on 'SongpaSsaem'... Providing Equal Learning Opportunities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is partnering with the Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) to provide high-quality educational services based on 'Songpa Ssem,' aiming to revitalize lifelong learning.
To this end, the district signed a mutual cooperation agreement with EBS at the district office on the 13th.
In particular, the district stated that it pursued the agreement to actively utilize EBS's public nature and expertise to ensure that residents receive equal learning opportunities regardless of income, age, or social class, and to guarantee lifelong learning rights so that education is provided according to ability and aptitude.
According to the agreement, the district and EBS will jointly promote ▲ production of new lifelong learning content and urban brand planning ▲ development and operation of lifelong education programs ▲ projects for the advancement of lifelong learning or public education.
Based on the agreement, the two organizations plan to maximize the use of human and material resources to discover sustainable cooperative projects from various angles, enhancing residents' happiness index as well as contributing to the development of public education.
Park Seong-su, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, “We are dedicating ourselves to educational projects to create an environment where anyone with the will to learn can have learning opportunities in Songpa.” He added, “Going forward, based on the diverse educational infrastructure of Songpa Ssem and EBS's experience, we will build Songpa as the number one sustainable lifelong learning city and education city.”
Meanwhile, the district is establishing 'Songpa Ssem' as a key project of the 7th local government administration. 'Songpa Ssem (SSEM, Songpa Smart Education Model)' is the district's unique education support system that comprehensively covers existing educational infrastructure and educational projects.
