"Refused to lend 1,000 won"... 40s suspect arrested and sent to prosecution for killing a passerby
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 40s who stabbed a passerby to death with a weapon after being refused a request to "lend 1000 won" has been handed over to the prosecution.
Seoul Gangdong Police Station announced on the 14th that Mr. A was sent to detention on the 12th of this month on suspicion of murder.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing a man, Mr. B (64), multiple times in the chest while walking in a residential area in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu around 7 p.m. on the 4th. Mr. B was taken to the hospital but died.

During the police investigation, Mr. A stated that he asked the victim, whom he met for the first time, to "lend 1000 won," and when refused, he wielded the weapon. After the crime, Mr. A called 112 himself and was caught.
