Recruiting Participants for the '2021 Geumsoek Industry Expo' Metal Products Exhibition from September 1-3... Total of 10 Companies, Preference for Manufacturers in Mullae-dong... In-Person Applications Accepted Until May 21
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Chae Hyun-il) is recruiting 10 small manufacturers to participate in the Mullae-dong metal products exhibition by May 21, with a designated booth at the ‘2021 Metal Industry Expo’ to be held at KINTEX in Ilsan this September.
The Metal Industry Expo is an international industrial exhibition covering all industries related to metal.
It mainly introduces new materials, parts, finished products, and changes and trends in metal processing technology, invites experts from various fields to hold seminars, and aims to improve manufacturing process efficiency, expand the domestic market, and develop export channels.
Last year, the district also helped Mullae-dong manufacturing small businesses exhibit metal products, achieving clear results such as discovering new business partners and high on-site sales performance, and provided a good opportunity to promote Mullae-dong’s machinery metal products and technological capabilities.
At this year’s expo, an exhibition booth will be set up in Hall 2 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 1, providing ▲full coverage of exhibition participation fees, ▲production of promotional materials such as catalogs for each participating company, ▲placement of interpreters and guides during the exhibition period, and ▲support for other supplies.
Eligibility for support is small manufacturing businesses registered in Yeongdeungpo-gu that produce metal products such as prototypes, finished products, or parts that can be exhibited. However, companies that participated in 2019 or 2020 are excluded from support.
Companies wishing to apply can download the application form from the Yeongdeungpo-gu website’s notices/announcements section by May 21, prepare a copy of the business registration certificate, exhibition product catalog, product certification, etc., and submit them in person to the Urban Regeneration Division of Yeongdeungpo-gu Office.
Afterward, the district will carefully review the submitted application documents and select a total of 10 companies based on the novelty of ideas, development of new technologies, market growth potential, and other criteria.
The district has been providing generous support for the revival of the metal industry, including modernization of facilities and strengthening product competitiveness in the Mullae-dong machinery and metal industry area, through initiatives such as ‘Yeongdeungpo Idea Funding,’ opening the ‘Makers Market’ platform, and subsidies for dust collector installation, as well as promotion and marketing for product commercialization.
