Seoul Digital University Waives Admission Fee and Reduces Tuition for Gwanak-gu Residents
Gwanak-gu and Seoul Digital University Sign Mutual Exchange Agreement
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu District Office (Mayor Park Junhee) signed a "Mutual Exchange Agreement for Human Resource Development between Gwanak-gu Office and Seoul Digital University" with Seoul Digital University (Acting President Lee Youngsoo) on the 6th.
The district office stated that this agreement was made to provide residents with opportunities to obtain degrees through remote education by utilizing the university's state-of-the-art online education infrastructure, aiming to foster talented individuals and realize educational welfare.
Through this, when Gwanak-gu residents enroll in Seoul Digital University, they will receive benefits such as exemption from the admission fee and a 30% tuition discount each semester (with a GPA of 2.5 or higher in the previous semester after admission), allowing them to conveniently obtain a regular 4-year bachelor's degree at an affordable cost.
Seoul Digital University, established in 2001 as a 4-year accredited online university, has newly added six majors this year including Detective Studies, Military and Police Fire Counseling, and Health Care Administration, offering a total of 30 majors and about 800 courses. Recruitment for new and transfer students for the second semester of the 2021 academic year will begin on June 1.
Meanwhile, the district office has previously signed agreements with Soongsil Cyber University, Open Cyber University, and Daegu Cyber University to provide residents with opportunities to obtain regular 4-year bachelor's degrees conveniently and at low costs through admission fee and tuition discounts.
