Sikyung Remicon Co., Ltd. Donates Sponsorship Funds to Single-Parent Families in Gwangyang-eup
In Celebration of Family Month, Cash Donations Made to Three Single-Parent Families Through Designated Contributions
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] On the 11th, Sikyung Remicon Co., Ltd. delivered 300,000 KRW in cash each to three single-parent families at the Gwangyang-eup Office, and then donated sponsorship funds to the Gwangyang-eup Community Security Council through the Gwangyang City Love Sharing Welfare Foundation.
The sponsorship funds will be provided as living expenses to single-parent families, with 900,000 KRW (300,000 KRW each to three families) supported monthly for one year, totaling 10.8 million KRW annually through the Gwangyang City Love Sharing Welfare Foundation.
A single parent who received the sponsorship funds stated, “I am grateful to receive benefits for one year during these difficult times, and I am happy to ease the financial burden through the sponsorship funds.”
Jung Si-hwa, CEO of Sikyung Remicon Co., Ltd., said, “In the prolonged COVID-19 situation where the economic crisis of marginalized groups continues, I donated with the hope of providing hope and help to single-parent families raising children alone,” adding, “I will continue to pay attention to the local community and strive to practice sharing.”
