[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Gwangyang City Sports Council in Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that it held its inaugural general meeting for the establishment of a corporation on the 10th.
At the inaugural general meeting, five preparation committee members, including Chairman Kim Jeong-hyun of the 'Corporation Establishment Preparation Committee,' attended and resolved four review agenda items (articles of association, appointment of executives, property contribution, and establishment of the main office).
The Gwangyang City Sports Council formed the Corporation Establishment Preparation Committee in December last year following the revision of the National Sports Promotion Act, and after three meetings, the inaugural general meeting was held.
After receiving corporate approval and completing the registration of establishment, it will gain the status of a special corporation for local sports promotion.
