[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 12th that it will operate 'Requested Classes' together with Gwangju Elementary Lead Teachers from this month until December.
'Requested Classes' are conducted by having a teacher request a lead teacher to demonstrate a lesson on a specific subject or topic, and the lead teacher then teaches the requesting teacher's students (class).
There are currently 23 Gwangju Elementary Lead Teachers, who have been supporting classroom teaching of field teachers for nine years based on their expertise.

Lead Teacher Son Jun-ho of Taebong Elementary School said, "Sharing the prepared and reflected lesson content with the homeroom teacher made me feel that I also grew a step forward."
Teacher Kim Seon-ae of Geon-guk Elementary School said, "When learning Korean, the final consonants are the most difficult for students, and through the class by Lead Teacher Kim Mi-ran of Ilsin Elementary, the developer of 'Smart Letter Play,' I was able to learn the first lesson directly, which was very helpful."
