'2021 Seoul Rose Festival' Held from 13th to 31st
Safe Seoul Rose Festival Operation through 'Joyongjoyong Ttieomeumttieom' Campaign... Seoul Rose Festival with Themes of Full Roses, Full Hope, Full Happiness Delivers Hope and Happiness to Local Residents
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Jungnang Cultural Foundation (Chairman Pyo Jae-sun) will hold the "2021 Seoul Rose Festival, the Most Beautiful Festival in Seoul," its first event since its launch, from May 13 to 31.
This year, aiming for a "COVID-19 Safe Seoul Rose Festival," the biggest change is that the festival, which was previously held at Jungnang Rose Park, has been prepared as a dispersed festival across 16 neighborhoods in Jungnang-gu, along with the campaign "Quietly, Spaced Apart."
The Seoul Rose Festival program begins on May 13 with the opening performance and Gyeomjaegyo Dance Festival broadcast from the Hope Rose Broadcasting Station on the Jungnang Cultural Foundation's YouTube channel, and will be operated under the themes of Full of Roses, Full of Hope, and Full of Happiness.
Looking at the main programs by theme, first, "Full of Roses" disperses the roses, which were concentrated in Jungnang Rose Park, across the 16 neighborhoods. Residents participate by creating and exhibiting mini rose gardens of hope in their neighborhoods, along with busking performances and experience classes as part of the Rose Stroll.
"Full of Hope" will be held on May 14 as Rose Day, May 15 as Lovers' Day, and May 16 as Family Day, featuring e-commerce linked content with Jungnang-gu flower shops, sewing fashion companies, traditional markets, visible radio, and the Rose Festival online song contest. Through distinctive programs tailored to each day, it aims to give hope to small business owners and offer moving experiences through the "Rose Poem" involving Jungnang residents.
"Full of Happiness" will be conducted through various online and offline programs and participatory events, including a metaverse game combining the Seoul Rose Festival map with Minecraft, which can be enjoyed via YouTube.
Additionally, various online event participations are possible, such as the Seoul Rose Festival dress code event, Snow app, and real-time viewing certification of the Gyeomjaegyo Dance Festival.
All festival programs can be checked through the newly opened Seoul Rose Festival homepage on the Jungnang Cultural Foundation website, and diverse online broadcast programs can be viewed on the Jungnang Cultural Foundation YouTube channel.
