"Didn't Tell You Not to Report Drunk Driving" 40s Fined 20 Million Won for Hitting Apartment Security Guard
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A driver who ran over an apartment security guard with his car for reporting drunk driving was fined 20 million won.
On the 11th, Ulsan District Court (Criminal Division 6, Judge Kim Do-young) sentenced a man in his 40s, Mr. A, who was charged with special assault for hitting a security guard with his car and causing a disturbance while the guard was trying to report suspected drunk driving, to a fine of 20 million won.
Mr. A was brought to trial on charges of hitting the leg area of security guard Mr. B with the front bumper of his car when Mr. B blocked his passenger car and tried to report him for suspected drunk driving at an apartment in Busan in November 2019.
Earlier in August of the same year, Mr. A is also accused of kicking the apartment entrance door and causing a disturbance at the management office after parking his vehicle in a no-parking zone within the apartment and receiving a warning notice on his car window.
He is also charged with driving about 100 meters in a state of intoxication with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.139%.

Judge Kim Do-young pointed out, "Mr. A has multiple prior records of violence and drunk driving," adding, "However, considering that he reached a settlement with the victim and has family members to support."
