Gwangju City Supports Excellent Small Business Owners' Franchise Development Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 11th that it will promote support for franchising projects targeting outstanding local small business owners.
The Gwangju Economic Employment Promotion Agency will carry out the project until December, implementing it in three areas: training franchise professionals by sector, supporting franchising projects for outstanding small business owners, and marketing support necessary for market entry.
The target is promising small business owners located in Gwangju who wish to franchise, excluding all industries such as entertainment, karaoke, dance, gambling, and massage.
The professional training area will operate three courses: franchise CEO, franchise supervisor training, and franchise store manager education. In the future, it plans to sign a business agreement with an educational institution to recruit trainees and conduct both theoretical and practical training.
The commercialization support area will provide support within a limit of 10 million KRW each to five companies headquartered in Gwangju, including franchise headquarters and small business owners wishing to franchise, allowing them to choose support for franchise system establishment, brand design, IT environment construction, product development, etc.
Supported companies will be selected through an internal selection evaluation committee after the recruitment announcement.
The marketing support area will support two companies headquartered in Gwangju franchise headquarters with a limit of 1 million KRW each for promotional material production, participation in exhibitions, and so on.
The professional training area will begin recruitment announcements after June, and the commercialization and marketing support areas will begin after July, with selections made through an internal selection evaluation committee.
Since the educational course agreement with Chosun Institute of Science and Technology in 2018, CEO courses and supervisor training courses have been conducted, producing 92 CEO graduates and 43 supervisors in the past three years. This year, a franchise store manager education course has been newly established and is underway.
Commercialization support has supported 15 companies in the past three years with design and BI development, website and manual construction, etc., and marketing support has supported 12 companies in the past three years with promotional videos and leaflet production.
