Naver Applies Korea's First 'Super Large AI' to Search Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver announced on the 11th that it has applied Korea's first self-developed Korean language-based large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) model to its search service.
Naver applied this AI model to the search function that converts incorrect words into correct ones when users input typos, misspellings, or incorrect search terms.
This function can prevent cases where no information is displayed in the search results due to users entering incorrect search terms.
For example, even if a user searches for 'mindeullegotgwanaengi chaichuk', it is automatically converted to 'mindeullegotgwa naengigot chai' (difference between dandelion flower and shepherd's purse flower).
Naver leader Kim Seonhoon stated, "By applying this large-scale AI model, we plan to improve prediction performance and reduce the number of zero-result searches to half of this year's level."
