SoftCamp Launches Remote Work-Dedicated Security Terminal ‘SHIELD@Home Zero’
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Softcamp announced on the 11th that it has launched the remote work dedicated security terminal ‘SHIELD@Home Zero’.
SHIELD@Home Zero is a security-enhanced remote work dedicated thin client security laptop. With just one click on the dedicated secure access browser, users can connect to their office PC.
Remote work users do not need any separate setup. After booting SHIELD@Home Zero, remote work is immediately possible by authenticating the OTP (One-Time Password) number, which is part of two-factor authentication.
It complies with strengthened security compliance through a secure operating system. This is because it uses the secure operating system, Gureum OS, developed by the National Security Research Institute, to ensure the use of a safe operating system and the latest security patches, which are essential requirements for telecommuting.
It also provides cloud terminal security management. Through network communication with terminals installed with Gureum OS, it collectively manages the individual terminals of remote work users. Through the management server, it is possible to distribute security policies and install, delete, or update software packages on each terminal. It complies with enhanced information protection control measures that must be followed during remote access to prevent security incidents that may occur due to telecommuting.
A remote browser is also provided. The remote browser allows safe internet access by providing a secure isolated environment to support internet access necessary for work.
It also offers telecommuting management services. It enables management of telecommuting status, policy management, remote access delegation, screen recording, and management services. SHIELD@Home Zero reduces management points for telecommuting users from the customer's perspective. The purchase is basically offered in a monthly subscription format.
