On the 10th, Hyundai Home Shopping Broadcast Sells 10,024 Rooms in 70 Minutes
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Lotte Tour Development announced on the 10th that it set a record by selling 10,000 rooms of Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort through Hyundai Home Shopping on the 9th.
The company explained, "During the broadcast of the Grand Hyatt Jeju room package within Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort, we recorded sales of 10,024 rooms in just 70 minutes." This 10,000-room record is the second time since the first broadcast on CJ O Shopping on February 14th, which sold out 10,000 rooms. Over the past 85 days, five broadcasts have achieved sales of 38,600 rooms.
The products sold this time targeted the vacation season of July and August, with prices including tax set at 480,000 KRW for a one-night weekday stay (Sunday to Thursday) and 540,000 KRW for Friday and Saturday; and 900,000 KRW for a two-night weekday stay (Saturday 960,000 KRW, Friday 1,020,000 KRW).
Lotte Tour Development stated, "In this sale of 10,000 rooms, demand surged from those wanting to enjoy a staycation during the holiday season, with nearly 85% of bookings being for two nights." They added, "Offering a basic dinner set for two at the country's largest buffet, Grand Kitchen (236,000 KRW), and introducing the country's highest infinity pool (62m), which opened on the 1st, seemed to attract customers' interest." They continued, "Love calls for Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort, which is continuing an unprecedented sales streak in the home shopping industry, are ongoing."
