Publication of Japanese Exhibition Guidebook at the National Palace Museum
Enhance Understanding with Appendices of Wang Gyedo, Chronology, and Chinese Character Terminology Explanations
The National Palace Museum of Korea announced on the 10th that it has published a Japanese exhibition guide containing information on the permanent exhibition content and artifacts. It is the Japanese version of the Korean edition titled 'The National Palace Museum of Korea Seen Through Seven Themes' (2018). Previously, English and Chinese versions were also published.
The guide includes about 100 artifacts. For each exhibition room, such as 'The Royal Family of Joseon,' 10 to 20 items were selected and explained. Additionally, a royal genealogy chart, chronology, and explanations of Chinese characters were included as appendices to enhance understanding of the Joseon royal culture covered in the permanent exhibition.
