Shinhan Financial Group and Ministry of SMEs Recruit Participants for 'Small Business Recovery Support Project'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Financial Group announced that from the 10th of this month until the 2nd of next month, it will recruit candidates for the 'Small Business Recovery Support Project (Eco-friendly and Low-carbon Management Support)' in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The Small Business Recovery Support Project, jointly hosted by Shinhan Financial and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, aims to help small business owners establish a foundation for business recovery through re-startups and business type changes, and supports the practice of eco-friendly and low-carbon management activities.
Shinhan Financial plans to recruit a total of 100 small businesses targeting recipients of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Job Stability Fund and small business owners enrolled in employment insurance for one-person self-employed individuals, with preferential treatment for companies related to the Green New Deal and social enterprises.
Selected small business owners will receive support for 30-70% of their rent, up to a maximum of KRW 1 million per month, for up to six months, depending on their participation in eco-friendly activities such as eco-friendly process improvements, use of eco-friendly products, and substitution of eco-friendly raw materials. Activity expenses to assist eco-friendly management will also be provided up to a maximum of KRW 2 million.
Additionally, in cooperation with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, various programs for business recovery will be supported, including business consulting, online credit management education programs, and provision of KCB comprehensive credit management usage vouchers. Small business owners with excellent program participation will be selected and given opportunities for company promotion through social networking services (SNS) such as Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation's Facebook and YouTube.
