National Intangible Heritage Center Hosts 'Chaekmaru Humanities Lecture'
The National Intangible Heritage Center is hosting the 'Chaekmaru Humanities Lecture' until July 20. It is a cultural program that provides local residents with opportunities to enjoy culture.
This year's theme is 'Intangible Cultural Heritage Embedded in Everyday Life.' It presents various stories of intangible heritage encountered through music, film, and writing in an engaging and approachable way. The program consists of four online sessions and two on-site sessions.
The online sessions will be broadcast live at 8 PM on the lecture day via the YouTube channel 'National Intangible Heritage Center Digital Archive.' The lectures include: Korean traditional musician Park Aeri's 'Life and Sound of Koreans (June 11)', Moon Hyunwoo, leader of the Arirang Yulangdan, 'Arirang Yulangdan, Walking Korea (June 18)', film critic Kang Yujeong's 'Intangible Heritage in Korean Cinema (June 1)', and lawyer Koo Bonjin's 'Destiny in Handwriting (July 20)'.

The on-site sessions feature Hanbok designer Lee Hyesoon's 'Hanbok, Clothes That Shape Posture and Grace (June 15)' and Professor Shin Dongwon's 'Hunminjeongeum, Coming into the World (July 6)'. All on-site lectures will be held at 6:30 PM in the small auditorium of the National Intangible Heritage Center. Participation is free, but prior registration is required via the Chaekmaru website or by phone.
