Financial Services Commission to Open 'D-Testbed' Applications in July... 20 Companies Selected for 12-Week Testing
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Financial Services Commission announced on the 7th that it will start accepting applications for the 'D-Testbed' pilot project from July and support the verification of ideas from early-stage fintech companies.
The D-Testbed is the official name of the 'Digital Sandbox,' which refers to a test environment where early-stage fintech startups can verify the business feasibility and practicality of innovative technologies and ideas. The name was selected through a naming contest.
The Financial Services Commission is currently building the necessary infrastructure to ensure that early-stage fintech startups participating in the D-Testbed can conduct smooth testing.

In June, domestic financial sector tasks for fintech companies to test in the D-Testbed will be selected, and in July, 20 companies will be chosen to conduct tests for 12 weeks starting in August. A demonstration and evaluation will be held in November.
