Gyeongnam Province Forms 'Livestock Market' Quarantine Inspection Team ... Monthly Patrols at 14 Locations in the Province
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 6th that it will form and operate a livestock market quarantine inspection team to block COVID-19 among visitors to livestock markets in the province.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the first half of last year, livestock markets nationwide were closed for two months. Accordingly, the province will conduct quarantine inspections to prevent a recurrence of the same situation as last year.
The province will form a joint inspection team of 46 members, including livestock departments of city and county governments and the Nonghyup Livestock (Agricultural Policy) Business Group. They will conduct quarantine inspections at least once a month at 14 livestock markets, which open 2 to 6 times per month.
The main inspection items will cover 27 areas, including compliance with social distancing, temperature checks, mask-wearing, disinfection, and provision of hygiene supplies.
