Meanwhile, Geotju is a smartphone app operated by the Chungnam Sports Council to promote the health of Chungnam residents through walking and other daily sports activities. The province runs an event that awards points to users who achieve a certain walking goal.
Users who walk more than 70,000 steps per week or 300,000 steps per month receive 3,000 points, which can be used like cash at cafes, convenience stores, and other places.
