Seoul Gangseo-gu Dong Community Center 'Smart Civil Complaint Waiting Notification Service'
Real-time Status of Waiting Lines at 20 Dong Community Service Centers Available on PC and Mobile... Expected Triple Benefits: Reduced Waiting Time, Prevention of Complaint Congestion, and COVID-19 Prevention
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The civil service in Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is evolving to the next level.
The district has implemented the "Smart Civil Service Waiting Notification Service," the first in Seoul, which allows real-time checking of the waiting status at the community service centers starting from the 6th.
This measure was prepared to prevent congestion in crowded civil service offices and to help residents manage their time efficiently. To this end, a system has been established that enables real-time checking of the waiting status not only on computers but also on smartphones, linked with the district website.
The service can be accessed by visiting the "Community Center Civil Service Waiting Status Inquiry" on the main page of the district office website.
The system operates on the principle of collecting queue data from each community service office and linking it to the district website's relay server to broadcast it in real time.
Through the access screen, real-time waiting status data for integrated civil service counters at 20 community centers in the district can be provided.
Waiting status can be checked simply by accessing the page without complicated procedures such as membership registration or identity verification.
Since the waiting status of each community center can be checked simultaneously, it is expected to have a civil service dispersion effect. Visiting a community center with fewer people waiting allows for faster civil service processing.
Additionally, it is expected to help prevent COVID-19 infections by avoiding situations where many civil service users gather and wait in one place for a long time.
