[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Noroo Paint announced on the 4th that it participated in the urban regeneration project along with the '2021 Busan One Asia Festival (BOF)'.
One of the BOF programs, the urban regeneration project 'B-ART', is a project that discovers young artists and transforms culturally neglected areas into landmarks. This project involved artists such as Kim Chungjae, known as 'Mida Oppa', and illustrator Seopseop. They worked on mural paintings on the walls of the Geumsa Industrial Complex Art District and the Blue Apartment in Bugok-dong, Busan.
Noroo Paint supported the undercoating work to enhance the completeness of the mural artworks and provided 'Pantone Paint for Exterior' products. According to Noroo Paint, the Pantone Paint for Exterior products hardly deteriorate or discolor even under climate change. They can faithfully reproduce about 2,600 Pantone colors, including highly saturated colors.
Artist Kim Chungjae said, "I hope this project can deliver a message of hope and positivity in the special situation of COVID-19," and added, "I also hope it becomes an opportunity for young artists to gain more attention."
A Noroo Paint official said, "We expect the murals, which add art to the urban landscape and convey hope, to energize not only Busan citizens but also Hallyu fans," and added, "We plan to continue social contribution activities for urban regeneration in connection with local communities."
