'Reducing Air Pollutant Emissions'... Gyeonggi-do Supports SMEs' Transition to 'Cheongjeong Fuel'
Up to 33 million KRW per company
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province is promoting the 'Small and Medium Enterprises Clean Fuel Conversion Project' to reduce emissions of air pollutants such as fine dust.
On the 4th, the province announced that "this year, the project will be carried out twice targeting companies using fossil liquid fuels such as bunker-C oil and solid fuels in seven cities and counties within the province, including Yangju and Gimpo."
The province plans to select 20 supported companies through on-site evaluations and deliberations by the selection committee, providing up to 33 million KRW per company for the construction costs of related facilities (burners, storage tanks, piping, etc.).
The first round of support targets 10 business sites in two cities and counties: seven in Yangju, where small-scale textile and dyeing businesses are concentrated, and three in Pocheon. Applications can be submitted to the Gyeonggi Environmental Technology Support Center by the 14th.
The second round of project applications is scheduled to be announced between May and June according to the schedules of each city and county, with target areas including Gimpo, Anseong, Yeoju, Yangpyeong, and Yeoncheon.
