Huons Medical Appoints Lee Seung-yong as New CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Huons Medical announced on the 3rd that it has appointed Seungyong Lee as the new CEO.
New CEO Seungyong Lee graduated from Inha University with a degree in Biotechnology. After working at Korean Air, he spent 25 years at Wonik, a medical device specialized trading and distribution company. During his tenure at Wonik, he led the domestic introduction of overseas aesthetic medical devices and served as executive director of the medical device division, overseeing the distribution and marketing of various aesthetic medical devices in Korea.
Since joining Huons Medical last year, he has been in charge of medical device sales, striving to establish the Huons Medical portfolio in the market.
CEO Lee expressed his ambition, stating, “I will contribute to becoming a globally influential medical device company by achieving both the development of innovative new medical devices that consolidate Huons Medical’s unique technological capabilities and the expansion of business areas.”

Meanwhile, Huons Global also appointed Jaemyung Choi as the head of its U.S. subsidiary 'Huons USA,' established last year. CEO Choi graduated from Sogang University with a degree in Business Administration and completed an MBA program at George Washington University in the U.S. He worked as the head of finance at SK Hong Kong branch and a Hong Kong joint venture, served as CEO of the U.S. subsidiaries of bio ventures ISTECH and Luminogene, and later served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at OptoSigma, the U.S. subsidiary of SigmaKoki.
