KTH and KT Wiz signed a business agreement on the 2nd for joint social contribution and promotional marketing cooperation, including matching grants, for the fifth consecutive year. Starting this year, they invited students and families of the newly sponsored Dangjin Junior Girls' Baseball Team to a baseball game and ceremonial first pitch event together with the KT Group Hope Sharing Foundation.
The Dangjin Junior Girls' Baseball Team, founded in February this year, is the only junior girls' baseball team in the country, consisting of 10 female players aged 14 to 19 gathered from across the nation. Coach Eo Je-in, a former member of both the Korean and U.S. women's national baseball teams and currently leading the Korean women's national baseball team, is actively coaching the team.
Based on this business agreement, as in the previous year, 200,000 KRW will be accumulated per home run by player Kang Baek-ho and 300,000 KRW per win by player So Hyeong-jun according to the 2021 season results, with the sponsorship funds delivered at the end of the year. These funds will be used for purchasing baseball equipment and supporting baseball-related activities for the Dangjin Junior Girls' Baseball Team in the future.
