Naver News to Strengthen 'Fact Check' Labeling
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver announced on the 30th that it will strengthen the 'Fact Check' labeling to prevent the spread of false information and fake news.
Since 2018, Naver News has been providing the 'SNU Fact Check Service' in collaboration with the Seoul National University Institute of Communication Research.
When fact-check related articles appear in Naver News search, a link saying 'Check the fact check related to this article' is displayed.
Clicking this link connects to the 'SNU Fact Check' service, which provides results verified through the verification process of 30 media outlets by the Seoul National University Institute of Communication Research.
The participating media outlets in fact-checking judge articles on a total of six levels: True, Mostly True, Half True, Mostly False, Completely False, and Judgment Reserved.
