AK & Hongdae, Jeju Air In-flight Meal Cafe Opens... "Not in the Sky but in Hongdae"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] AK&Hongdae announced on the 29th that it will operate a pop-up store called ‘Taste the Happiness of Travel,’ an in-flight meal cafe run directly by flight attendants, in collaboration with Jeju Air for three months.
The pop-up store will showcase four popular in-flight meal menus from Jeju Air: Bulgogi Rice Bowl, Black Pork Rice Bowl, Green Onion Wrap Bulgogi, and Flight Attendant In-flight Meal. All menus will be served directly by Jeju Air cabin crew, offering customers a more special experience. Additionally, events where visitors can experience in-flight specialized services such as tarot card readings and balloon services will also be provided.
An AK&Hongdae official said, “This Jeju Air in-flight meal cafe pop-up store is part of AK&Hongdae’s major renewal,” adding, “We are pleased to provide an opportunity to offer Jeju Air’s in-flight meals, which are usually highly rated, along with a unique experience.”

Meanwhile, AK&Hongdae is undergoing a major renewal under the theme of ‘Taste Select Shop’ to align with changing consumer trends. In particular, the 4th and 5th floors, which are the core tenant floors of the Taste Select Shop, will be transformed into an experiential media art exhibition and a kidult specialty zone representing Hongdae. The renewed stores have been partially opening sequentially since March, and the renewal of all floors is expected to be completed around June.
