College Student Missing for Four Days at Hangang Park... Police Launch Investigation

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A college student who fell asleep by the Han River in Seoul late at night has gone missing, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the Seocho Police Station in Seoul on the 28th, A (21, male), a student at a university in Seoul, was last seen near the Banpo Hangang Park water taxi dock between 3 and 5 a.m. on the 25th, after which all contact was lost.
It is reported that A drank with a same-sex friend at the site from around 11 p.m. on the 24th until about 2 a.m. the next day, after which he fell asleep. The friend woke up around 4:30 a.m. and went home, but A's whereabouts have since been unknown.
On 'Everytime,' an online community for several universities in Seoul, flyers seeking A have been posted. A's parents have also posted messages on blogs and other platforms to find their son.

A police official said, "We are analyzing nearby CCTV footage and conducting water searches using helicopters and drones together with the Hangang Police Unit. We are considering various possibilities, including accidental falls, as we continue the search."
