613 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed by 6 PM... Expected to Exceed 700
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] As the spread of COVID-19 continues in South Korea, confirmed cases surged nationwide on the 27th.
According to health authorities and local governments, a total of 613 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported nationwide from midnight to 6 p.m. on that day.
This is 239 more than the 374 cases recorded at the same time the previous day.
By region, 394 cases (64.3%) were reported in the Seoul metropolitan area, and 219 cases (35.7%) in non-metropolitan areas.
By city and province, the numbers are as follows: Seoul 228, Gyeonggi 155, Gyeongnam 50, Chungnam 29, Daegu 28, Busan 27, Ulsan 23, Gyeongbuk 19, Chungbuk 14, Incheon 11, Gangwon 9, Jeonbuk 7, Gwangju, Daejeon, and Jeonnam each 4, and Jeju 1.
