[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 27th, Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, held the 68th ‘Jungnang Masil’ at the Jungnang-gu Lifelong Learning Center with 17 participants including lifelong learning center students and instructors.
‘Jungnang Masil’ is a communication forum where the mayor visits the site in person to have candid conversations with residents, similar to visiting a neighbor’s house or a nearby neighborhood.
This Jungnang Masil was organized to encourage lifelong learning center students who are always dedicated to learning and to explore ways to develop lifelong learning in Jungnang-gu.
Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi encouraged and supported residents who are devoted to learning with passion despite the COVID-19 situation, and also shared his own experiences practicing lifelong learning.
Since its opening in 2015, the Jungnang-gu Lifelong Learning Center has been operating various programs in fields such as humanities, arts and crafts, and everyday culture, striving to enable all residents to participate in learning.
The district operates 16 neighborhood learning centers centered around the lifelong learning center, and the newly opening Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center on May 4 will also offer parent education programs.
