Changwon City Holds Meeting of the Women's Friendly City Creation Council
Accelerating the Promotion of Women-Friendly Cities through Discovery and Proposal of Regional Specialization Projects
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] On the 27th, Changwon City in Gyeongnam held the 2021 Changwon City Women-Friendly City Creation Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) regular meeting at City Hall.
The meeting was organized to exchange opinions on the progress report of the 2nd phase women-friendly city creation and the plans for creating a women-friendly city.
Council members proposed and discovered various women-friendly specialized projects in our region.
In particular, they presented diverse opinions on activating the citizen participation group and gender governance, as well as creating women-friendly streets.
They also gathered ideas on ways to revitalize 'Dairum Plus,' a women-only startup space, exchanging opinions on strategic promotion methods and holding non-face-to-face events.
The Council functions are carried out by the Changwon City Gender Equality Committee, composed of 20 members from academia, experts, and civic groups.
