Recruitment for the 3rd Generation of the Youth Gender Equality Culture Promotion Team 'Butterknife Crew'
Recruiting 24 Teams Until May 12
Up to 6 Million KRW Project Funding Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is recruiting the 3rd generation of the youth gender equality culture promotion group, 'Butter Knife Crew,' which creates a future vision from a gender equality perspective, until May 12.
Butter Knife Crew refers to a group that contemplates and proposes ways to create a gender-equal culture on their own. They carry out cultural and awareness improvement activities such as research, campaigns, and content production to promote gender equality changes across various aspects of daily life for the 2030 generation, including work, safety, housing, and health.
This year, the mental care field has been added, and projects that help youth who are experiencing difficulties such as depression, anxiety, and loneliness due to COVID-19 will be proposed and conducted. These include mental care workshops and participatory youth project recruitment to foster healthy habits.
A '2021 Communication Forum' will also be held to resolve gender equality perception gaps and conflicts. Experts will participate as discussion facilitators, and men and women in their 20s and 30s will discuss and communicate about gender equality.
Youth who wish to participate can download the application form from the Butter Knife Crew 3rd generation website and apply via email by May 12. Approximately 24 teams will be selected, and up to 6 million KRW in project funds will be provided depending on the nature of the project and the applicant's capabilities.
