MuHyup, Recruiting for 'Global Startup School 4th Cohort'... Applications Open Until the 12th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 26th that it is recruiting for the "Global Startup School 4th Cohort."
This program is KITA's flagship startup accelerating program that discovers and nurtures domestic startups aiming for overseas expansion, linking them to investment attraction and open innovation. Since its inception in 2019, a total of six startups from the 1st and 2nd cohorts have successfully secured seed investments exceeding 100 million KRW each, and four startups from the 3rd cohort have received research and development (R&D) grants.
The recruitment targets startups in fields such as smart Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, Software as a Service (SaaS), big data, and artificial intelligence (AI), with a particular focus on export-oriented manufacturing-based startups. Applications for the 4th cohort can be submitted by the 12th of next month by referring to the announcements on the KITA website.
After an initial document screening, 30 startups will be selected to receive basic education, and from these, 10 startups will be further selected to receive customized mentoring on market structuring, product development, global commercialization, identifying key targets, and strengthening investment attraction capabilities. Additionally, an investor relations (IR) session will be organized for accelerators (ACs) and corporate venture capitals (CVCs). Outstanding companies will also receive bonus points when participating in KITA’s global open innovation and other support projects.

Jang Seokmin, Secretary General of KITA Trade Academy, stated, "NP15 Partners, participating as the operating company for this 4th cohort, is an accelerator specialized in hardware-based manufacturing startup investment and overseas marketing, and also participates as an operator of TIPS, a technology startup support program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, so synergy with KITA is expected." He added, "We will spare no effort to support the discovery, nurturing, and global expansion of our innovative startups."
