Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Recruits 'Youth Overseas Volunteer Teams' from 5 ASEAN Countries

Youth aged 15 to 24 in the Republic of Korea can participate
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is recruiting overseas youth volunteer groups to participate in online volunteer activities, such as creating educational content for overseas youth in five ASEAN countries.
On the 25th, the Ministry announced that it will recruit the "2021 Youth Overseas Volunteer Group into Dreams and People" from April 26 to May 14 to foster global citizenship awareness among youth.
The youth overseas volunteer groups will be composed of 15 members per institution and will conduct online volunteer activities targeting Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines from June to October.
Participating institutions (countries) include the International Exchange and Culture Promotion Agency (Malaysia), Daegu Metropolitan City Youth Culture House (Philippines), Seoul Youth Culture Exchange Center (Cambodia), Mapo Youth Center (Cambodia), Uijeongbu Youth Training Center (Laos), Changwon YWCA (Philippines), Cheonan Youth Training Center (Philippines), Cheonan Taejosan Youth Training Center (Vietnam), Korea Youth Foundation and Seodaemun Youth Center (Malaysia).
The youth overseas volunteer groups will produce educational content on the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals themes of "Quality Education, Health and Well-being, and Climate Change Response" and provide it to partner countries. Additionally, various cultural exchange activities will be conducted online.

Any Korean youth aged 15 to 24 interested in overseas volunteer activities can apply. The activity period is from June to October and varies by institution. While the activities are mainly non-face-to-face, some face-to-face activities may be included. Applications can be submitted through the Youth International Exchange Network website, and all participation costs are fully supported.
