The event was a meaningful occasion where Jongno District celebrated the birth of precious baby residents by providing Jongmyo Plaza Park as a planting space along with commemorative trees.
Participating families chose the tree species they wanted to plant from Korean dogwood, crape myrtle, plum tree, and green maple, and had a meaningful time planting the trees and attaching plaques with the baby's name and the family's wishes.

Mayor Kim said, “Since Jongmyo Plaza Park is an open space for everyone, a great advantage is that families can visit anytime they want and take care of their child's own tree,” adding, “Through the baby birth commemorative celebration project starting this year, we will respond to the low birthrate issue and have the entire local community watch over and support the growth of children together.”
