Gwangju City Promotes Welfare Total Volume Survey Based on Big Data
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 22nd that it will promote a big data-based welfare total volume survey to efficiently utilize welfare policy establishment and administrative execution.
On the same day, Gwangju held a kickoff report meeting for the Gwangju Welfare Total Volume Analysis (Ⅱ Service Area, etc.) research project at the city hall multipurpose hall, attended by about 30 people including welfare experts, field activists, and welfare policy officials, sharing the scope and content of the welfare total volume survey.
The Gwangju Innovation Promotion Committee has presented welfare total volume and comprehensive diagnosis and analysis of welfare finances as welfare innovation tasks through reviewing and restructuring overall welfare among 70 detailed tasks in four areas for establishing the Gwangju-type welfare model.
This welfare total volume survey will analyze the increase and decrease trends of welfare demand targets by subject and class and apply the results to welfare policy establishment.
By closely inspecting and analyzing the degree of service overlap, excess, and neglect among welfare recipients, it is expected to serve as valuable basic data to understand how welfare resources are linked and utilized for recipients by applying it to detailed welfare service support policies.
The welfare total volume survey is scheduled to be conducted until September, and the data will be accumulated as welfare big data to be used as basic data for welfare policy establishment, with plans to prepare for regular total volume surveys in the future.
