On the 22nd, the 3rd Senior Job Dedicated Counseling Cafe Opens in Godeok-dong... Plans to Expand 3 More Counseling Cafes in 2021 to Increase Senior Job Opportunities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangdong-gu (District Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) will open the 3rd branch of the Senior Job Counseling Cafe, Gangdong Senior Club Counseling Cafe No. 3 (399 Godeok-ro, 1st floor of Godeok Central Prugio), on the 22nd.
The counseling cafe is a space where seniors can comfortably receive consultations about job projects promoted by the district. It sells coffee, beverages, and hot dogs, and throughout the cafe, high-quality products such as cutting boards and wallets made by the senior workshop are displayed and sold.
The operating hours are currently from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, with plans to expand in the future.
Following the opening of the 3rd branch, the district plans to expand the senior job project by adding three more counseling cafes within the year.
The 4th branch will be installed inside the ‘Gangdong 50 Plus Center’ (Cheonho 2-dong), a complex cultural exchange space for middle-aged adults, and the 5th branch will be set up in the newly constructed ‘Sipjaseong Senior Love Room’ (Cheonho 1-dong).
The 6th branch will be installed inside the ‘Active Senior Job Sharing Center’ (Cheonho 2-dong), which is being developed to systematically prepare for the upcoming active senior generation.
In particular, the ‘Active Senior Job Sharing Center,’ where the 6th branch will be located, plans to relocate the Gangdong Senior Club currently in Gildong and provide one-stop senior job services together with the nearby Gangdong-gu Job Center.
