WEMAKEPRICE Launches 'Zero Waste' Campaign... "Coffee Grounds Turned Into Pencils"
Collaboration with CoffeeCube, a Coffee Grounds Upcycling Specialist Company
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Wemakeprice announced on the 22nd that it will launch the 'WE MAKE IT' campaign, proposing sustainable consumption. In this campaign featuring eco-friendly products, Wemakeprice will release products made by recycling coffee grounds from Wemakeprice Cafe in collaboration with Coffee Cube, a company specializing in coffee grounds upcycling.
The newly introduced products include a coffee ground set consisting of stub pencils, a coffee flowerpot kit, and clay powder. The package packaging uses cotton pouches that can be reused in daily life and packaging materials that were about to be discarded.
The products are made using natural ingredients such as coffee grounds collected from Wemakeprice Cafe and vegetable extracts at places like the Incheon Yeonsu Regional Self-Support Center. Most of the manufacturing costs are used for wages of people with developmental disabilities and vulnerable groups. Profits generated from the campaign are attributed to collaborating creators and companies or reinvested in Wemakeprice's public interest projects.
