All Residents to Receive 100,000 Won 'Local Coexistence Voucher' Usable at Local Stores Until July

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Halla Cement announced on the 20th that it has established a 'Win-Win Cooperation Fund' of 354.3 million KRW to share the pain with the local community suffering from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and distributed 100,000 KRW worth of 'Local Win-Win Exchange Vouchers' to all residents of Ok-gye-myeon, Gangneung City, where the Ok-gye Plant is located.
This Win-Win Cooperation Fund is part of the regional development fund promoted by Halla Cement and was proactively established to support the residents and local merchants of the Ok-gye area who are suffering from COVID-19.
The fund of 354.3 million KRW will be distributed as 100,000 KRW worth of 'Local Win-Win Exchange Vouchers' to all 3,543 residents of Ok-gye-myeon (as of April), with each person receiving one voucher. The vouchers can be used like cash at all stores located in Ok-gye-myeon until July 31.
On the morning of the same day, Halla Cement held a fund delivery ceremony in the large conference room of the Ok-gye-myeon Office and directly handed over the vouchers to Park Il-gyu, the head of Ok-gye-myeon. About 30 people attended the event, including Kim Han-geun, Mayor of Gangneung, Park Il-gyu, head of Ok-gye-myeon, Park Moon-geun, president of the Ok-gye-myeon Prosperity Association, Kim Young-hwan, director of Halla Cement, and other local organization leaders, sharing gratitude and congratulations.
Park Moon-geun, president of the Ok-gye-myeon Prosperity Association, expressed his thanks, saying, "It is a difficult and challenging time for everyone, so I am grateful for this big decision. I hope it will be a small but great support for the residents." Kim Young-hwan, director of Halla Cement, responded, "I hope this support will help stabilize the lives of the residents suffering from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and revitalize the local market economy."
